Brooks T700 Stairlift with Manual Hinge Track Installed in Nottingham

At Midland Stairlifts, we recently completed another successful Brooks T700 stairlift installation in Nottingham, helping another customer regain their independence and confidence at home.

For this installation, we fitted a Brooks T700 straight stairlift with a manual hinge track. The property had a doorway located directly at the bottom of the staircase, meaning a standard rail would have projected across the doorway and created an obstruction when the stairlift was parked.

A manual hinge track was the perfect solution. When the stairlift is not in use, the hinged section of the rail can be folded upwards, keeping the doorway completely clear and eliminating a potential trip hazard. This allows the customer and their family to move freely around the home while still enjoying all the benefits of a safe and reliable stairlift. Hinge rails are commonly used where doorways or walkways are close to the bottom of the stairs, making them an excellent option for many homes.

The finished installation looks absolutely fantastic and blends in beautifully with the customer’s staircase. Most importantly, the customer can now travel safely and comfortably between floors without the worry of climbing the stairs.
